Academic Rules at Ummah Institute
The Ummah Institute is committed to maintaining a structured, respectful, and productive learning environment. To ensure the academic success of all students and uphold Islamic values, we have outlined a set of academic rules. These guidelines promote discipline, respect, and a strong work ethic, which are essential for students’ spiritual and intellectual growth.
General Academic Rules
- Attendance and Punctuality:
- All students must attend classes regularly.
- Students are required to arrive at school and lessons on time. Late arrivals disrupt learning and may result in disciplinary action.

- Talking, unnecessary movement, or any disruptive behaviour during class is strictly prohibited.
- Mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in classrooms unless permitted by the teacher for educational purposes.
- Academic Effort and Excellence:
- Students are expected to complete all assignments, homework, and projects on time.
- Active participation in lessons, group activities, and discussions is encouraged.
- Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty is unacceptable and will result in consequences.
- Respect for Islamic Values:
- All students must adhere to the principles of Islamic etiquette (adab) during lessons, including speaking politely and maintaining proper behaviour.
- Quranic and Islamic studies must be approached with sincerity, respect, and dedication.
